South Korea’s military and the UN Command opened a joint investigation into a landmine explosion near the demilitarised zone separating the two Koreas, Reuters reported, in a text republished by The Hindu.

A team of about 40 officials searched an area near the site of the September 21 blast. Three South Korean soldiers were wounded in the explosion on September 21 while clearing a patrol route in the western sector of the demilitarised zone.
