The United States-led Board of Peace (BoP) said the United Nations agency for Palestinian refugees (UNRWA) will have no role in Gaza.

According to the board, “we will only work with trusted partners who will deliver for the people of Gaza and contribute to a deradicalised Strip. UNRWA fails on those litmus tests”. On the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), the BoP unveiled a 66-project reconstruction blueprint, with $2.4bn proposed to begin Gaza’s recovery.
