According to the chief of the Joint Staff of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), the relevance of the bloc’s joint exercises being held in Russia is due to the extremely complex military-political situation in the world, the Russian state news agency TASS reported.

At the opening, the Interaction-2026 command-and-staff exercise, the Poisk-2026 special reconnaissance exercise and the Echelon-2026 logistics support exercise are taking place in Russia.
