Twelve former officials who quit Joe Biden’s administration between late 2023 and 2024 signed a joint statement titled “Gaza Resignees,” published on Wednesday, saying they had resigned over its “illegal and unconditional support for Israel’s actions in Gaza”.

The group calls on candidates for the 2028 Democratic nomination to commit to not hiring any administration official directly responsible for enabling Israel’s military actions in Gaza.
