Blue and White (Kahol Lavan) leader Benny Gantz announced on Monday that he will not run in the October 27 election, saying he will continue to work for unity.

Opinion polls had consistently shown his party below the 3.25 percent threshold needed to enter the 120-seat Knesset, according to Al Jazeera. The Jerusalem Post also reported his withdrawal.
