Chinese President Xi Jinping received German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier in Beijing on Friday and, according to Xinhua, China is ready to work with Germany to open a new chapter in the China-Germany all-round strategic partnership.

Xi said history and reality have repeatedly shown that for China and the European Union (EU), cooperation outweighs competition and consensus outweighs differences.
