Protests against the war and the rising cost of living returned to major Italian cities on Saturday, a week after unrest erupted across the country, with clashes between demonstrators and police in Turin, Rome and Bologna and largely peaceful rallies in Milan, Reuters reported in a text republished by the Jerusalem Post.

Authorities deployed a heavy police presence and many shops closed as a precaution; Reuters witnesses did not observe any shops being looted or property vandalized.
