French prosecutors opened an investigation into attempted murder after Molotov cocktails were thrown at security forces during Saturday’s protests in Paris, according to Al Jazeera.

The prosecutor’s office said that “explosive devices were thrown at around 15 gendarmes as well as police officers,” referring to military police officers who are part of the French armed forces, and that no suspects had been arrested at this stage. The gendarmerie said 13 members of the injured officer’s unit were hurt, and the interior ministry counted more than 770 arrests across France.
