Yemen’s internationally recognised government said the Houthis launched missiles at Aden airport on Friday, a day after a deadly attack on the presidential palace in the port city.

Information Minister Moammar al-Eryani said the two missiles landed near the runway, 500 metres from an aircraft preparing to take off, with no injuries among passengers and crew. The Houthis, in a statement attributed to a military source and cited by AFP, said they attacked “the Saudi forces’ command headquarters in the Badr camp in Aden province” and a weapons depot. The Saudi-led coalition fighting Yemen’s Houthis said it downed missiles and drones over Riyadh and other parts of Saudi Arabia.
