The Houthis said on Tuesday they had struck Saudi Arabia’s Ras Tanura refinery, the kingdom’s largest, with a ballistic missile, while Bloomberg reported, citing a source familiar with the matter, that the kingdom contained a fire near the Ras Tanura terminal earlier that day, according to the Middle East Eye.
The group’s military spokesman, Yahya Saree, said the attack caused “massive fires”, and a Houthi official said the Egyptian parliament’s authorization of defensive military support for Saudi Arabia amounted to a declaration of war. The Houthis also said they had attacked Saudi Arabia’s defence ministry in Riyadh, with no confirmation from Saudi Arabia, according to the Hindustan Times, which cited Reuters.
