The sister of North Korea’s leader, Kim Yo-jong, called the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s (FBI) allegation that Pyongyang stole US$ 6 billion from the crypto platform Binance a “grave political provocation”, in a statement released by the state-run KCNA news agency.

The FBI attributed the theft to a North Korea-affiliated group called TraderTraitor. Kim said the claim was “absurd rhetoric and nothing new,” citing earlier US allegations about last year’s major hack of Bybit.
