Pakistan has detained hundreds of members of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), the party of former prime minister Imran Khan, after the central government imposed emergency rule on October 11 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, according to The Hindu.

The province is the party’s stronghold, and the move came after major protests demanding the former premier’s release.
