Oman rescued 25 crew members from the RITI, a merchant ship flying the Panamanian flag that the tracking website MarineTraffic identified as a crude oil tanker, after the vessel was targeted and set ablaze in the Strait of Hormuz.

The Omani Maritime Security Centre said in a statement on Friday that it had evacuated the people aboard the ship, according to Al Jazeera. Oman said it had rescued 25 sailors from a merchant ship that was targeted and set ablaze in the blockaded strait, the Times of Israel reported.
