An understanding between pro-government and opposition senators cleared the way for a vote on a proposal to lower the age of criminal responsibility this Wednesday (4), one day after approval of the Public Security Constitutional Amendment Proposal (PEC).

The move, however, faces disagreements inside the Workers’ Party (PT), as lawmakers debate different criteria for holding teenagers criminally responsible.
