US President Donald Trump said in an interview with Fox News that he struck a deal with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to end the $4 billion annual military aid to Israel, with the commitment to stop paying the country by the end of this year and to help if needed, according to Reuters, in a text republished by The Jerusalem Post.

Trump said Israel no longer needed financial support from Washington and that Democrats and left-wing politicians were using the funding for Israel to criticize Republicans.
