A senior adviser to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Mohammad Mokhber, said in a post on X on Sunday that Iran is “rapidly” changing its defense doctrine and will no longer limit its retaliation to attacks on the aggressors’ regional assets, according to Mehr News.

“The geography of the threat no longer determines the geography of the response,” he wrote in Farsi. Mehr News also reported that on Saturday Ayatollah Khamenei directed the country’s top military brass to prepare to deliver a swift and powerful response to any threat, “without any geographic limitations.”
