Crude oil prices started the week lower on renewed optimism about a possible peace deal between the United States (US) and Iran, following mediation talks involving Iran and Qatar over the weekend, OilPrice reports.

At that time, Brent crude traded at US$109.82 per barrel and West Texas Intermediate at US$100.57 per barrel.
