GMO Internet Group chief executive Masatoshi Kumagai admitted on Sunday night that the company's own engineers had flagged security issues before unauthorized access to a foreign exchange trading service it provides and that its response to the concerns was insufficient, Kyodo News reported.

Japan's Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi and relevant cabinet ministers will meet on Monday evening to discuss cyber security plans, amid data leaks and misuse, the top government spokesman said.
