Lebanon’s agriculture minister, Nizar Hani, said Israeli attacks have caused over US$1 billion in agricultural losses in the country and damaged nearly a quarter of the farmland, or about 56,000 hectares.
According to the minister, the cumulative damaged agricultural area reached 49,564 hectares, around 22% of the farmland, mostly in the South and Nabatieh governorates.
