The Saudi-led coalition in Yemen said it intercepted a drone launched by the Houthis toward Saudi Arabia’s Mecca region, according to Al Jazeera.
A Houthi spokesperson denied targeting the Muslim holy city or the surrounding region, reiterating that the group’s cross-border attacks remain focused on Saudi energy and military infrastructure. Middle East Eye reported the coalition’s accounts of drones over Mecca and Medina, which the Houthis denied.
