Iran’s army said a tanker illegally operating in a restricted and dangerous area east of the Strait of Hormuz struck naval mines, was damaged, caught fire and was left unable to move, according to PressTV.

Iran’s Revolutionary Guard said three violating oil tankers exploded and caught fire over the past 24 hours after striking mines while attempting to pass through the unauthorized southern route of the strait, Arab News reported.
