Venezuela’s army attacked a camp of the National Liberation Army (ELN) inside Venezuelan territory on Friday, the first time the country has struck ELN forces camped on its own soil, according to TRT World.

A staff member of the non-governmental organization (NGO) Fundaredes counted at least nine bodies at the destroyed camp, Tarazona said, according to the report, which released video of the site. TRT World noted that Venezuela was ruled by socialists for decades until Nicolás Maduro was ousted by US forces in January.
