The European Union (EU) described as a deliberate attempt to disrupt the bloc’s food chain the cyberattack that hit refrigeration settings on supermarket freezers in at least eight countries, including Belgium, Estonia, Finland, Ireland, Luxembourg and the Netherlands.
Israel’s National Cyber Directorate warned retail chains, food companies and logistics centers because of the wave of attacks, and a retailer reported freezers reaching 50 degrees Celsius.
