Israel demolished on Friday the homes of the assailants who killed two Israeli soldiers at a checkpoint in the occupied West Bank city of Hebron last week, Reuters reported in a text published by Al-Monitor.
In a statement announcing the demolitions, Israel’s military said it would “continue to operate proactively and offensively” to thwart attacks in the West Bank. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the military would “destroy” the neighborhood where the two attackers came from and that Israel was ready for “extensive action” in the occupied West Bank, the BBC reported.
