A book excerpted by Vanity Fair says Jared Kushner, US President Donald Trump’s son-in-law, had access during Trump’s first term to secret bank accounts holding some $2 billion provided by United Arab Emirates (UAE) leader Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Saudi royal Mohammed bin Salman, according to the Times of Israel.
One of the accounts, in Israel’s central bank, was reportedly overseen by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Kushner denied all the allegations, as did former US ambassador to Israel David Friedman, who reportedly helped facilitate the arrangement.
