Pakistan parliament on Thursday endorsed the federal government decision to impose emergency and governor rule in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, according to The Hindu.
The measure had been imposed on October 11 by the Shehbaz Sharif government, which cited the provincial government alleged disengagement from counterterrorism efforts, and was promulgated by the president, on the advice of the prime minister, under Articles 232 and 234 of the Constitution, according to Radio Pakistan.
