Iran’s Security Council chief Mohsen Rezaei told state media on Saturday that the country is debating whether to maintain its longstanding ban on nuclear weapons if hostilities resume, and that no decision has been taken on any change, according to Middle East Eye.

Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said Tehran has no plans to hold talks with US officials and dismissed reports suggesting otherwise as unfounded. Araghchi also said Iran had carefully examined a message sent by US Vice President JD Vance to senior Iranian security official Mohsen Rezaei, and that the matter remains under review by the relevant authorities, according to the official Iranian news agency IRNA.
