Prosecutors from 10 EU member states — Spain, France, Italy, Portugal, Belgium, the Netherlands, Poland, Slovakia, Sweden and Finland — plus Australia are cooperating and sharing information on complaints of torture, kidnapping and ill-treatment of their nationals who took part in the Global Sumud Flotilla missions, intercepted by Israel in international waters.
According to legal sources who spoke to El País, the investigations target Israeli politicians, officials and military commanders, including members of Benjamin Netanyahu's cabinet. Those sources say the meeting took place on September 16 in The Hague, within a framework coordinated by Eurojust, the EU's judicial cooperation agency, with Australian representatives attending as guests.
