Kim Jong-un attended an exhibition of unmanned aerial technology and a weapons demonstration featuring suicide drones, cruise missiles and a 600-millimeter multiple rocket launcher, state agency KCNA reported, according to Yonhap.
The launcher, known as “Sniper,” was shown in a firing exercise in public for the first time, and KCNA claimed that air-to-ground missiles fired from suicide drones and multipurpose drones, along with cruise missiles, hit an island target “with 100 percent accuracy” — a claim by the state agency that has no independent verification. In a speech, Kim called for the rapid expansion of the country’s unmanned aerial capabilities and for breakthroughs in unmanned aerial technology and defense artificial intelligence.
