Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi described a US effort to open dialogue with Tehran as “a positive step” in an interview with Al Jazeera on Saturday.

He said that, in high-level meetings, Iran had studied a letter sent by US Vice President JD Vance, and that Tehran's conditions for reopening the Strait of Hormuz remain clear, with mediators continuing consultations on them. Iran has no plans for direct meetings with US officials, according to TASS.
