Drone strikes killed at least six schoolchildren and wounded more than 20 at a primary school in Ethiopia, according to preliminary reports.

The strike hit Sana Elementary School in Dera Woreda, in South Gondar Zone of Amhara, on Tuesday, October 20, between 10:00 and 11:00 a.m., according to Addis Standard, in a text republished by AllAfrica. In a separate strike in Finaruo village, Saharti Samre Woreda, in Tigray's Southeastern Zone, four people were killed and six wounded as they loaded livestock onto a truck, local residents said. Addis Standard said it could not independently establish the circumstances of either strike or obtain a response from the Ethiopian military.
