The death toll from the Houthi missile strike on a government military camp in southern Yemen rose to 60 people, primarily new recruits, the deadliest strike since fighting in the country began escalating three months ago, according to The Associated Press.

The BBC, citing local authorities, reported more than 50 security personnel killed and 200 injured in the strike on the camp in the central province of Shabwa. A spokesman for the Saudi-backed Yemeni armed forces said the Iran-backed group launched three ballistic missiles at al-Alam camp, near the city of Ataq.
