With more than 66% of the votes counted, Benjamin Netanyahu’s Likud was projected to win 28 of the 120 seats in the Knesset and his bloc stands at about 56, short of the 61 needed for a majority, according to El País.
The anti-Netanyahu bloc, led by Gadi Eisenkot, stands at 48 seats, and the two Arab lists would hold a combined 16, indispensable for forming a government. Yair Golan called on the opposition to form a government of change “in partnership with Israel’s Arab citizens.”
