Yair Golan, leader of the Democrats party, called an “enormous failure” the decision by US President Donald Trump to end military aid to Israel and said a responsible prime minister would have fought to increase US assistance, not end it.

Golan is the second Israeli opposition figure to attack Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s handling of the episode, after Gadi Eisenkot said he must be replaced. Trump said he had reached an agreement on the issue with Netanyahu.
