US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth reportedly held a secret meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu during an unannounced visit to Israel on Monday, according to the Axios news outlet, cited by The Times of Israel, which spoke to two sources with knowledge of the meeting.

The meeting took place at the Ovda airbase in southern Israel, where US fighter jets and refuelers are stationed, the sources said.
