A Pakistan Army general said the country is providing “whatever support is needed” to protect Saudi Arabia’s sovereignty, territorial integrity and holy sites, amid escalating attacks by Yemen’s Houthis on the Gulf country.

Lieutenant General Chaudhry told the digital newspaper Independent Arabia in an interview published on Sunday (18) that such support “is being provided and will be provided”, without disclosing the nature or extent of the assistance.
