Kim Yo Jong, the sister of leader Kim Jong Un, said on Wednesday that North Korea had moved new units into “firing positions” at the border, according to AFP, in an article republished by the Kuwait Times.

She also said Kim Jong Un had “issued an order to fortify the border with an enemy state to be eternally impregnable”. Jin Yong-sung, chairman of South Korea’s Joint Chiefs of Staff, ordered the military to “respond with firm resolve” if the North used Seoul’s actions as a pretext for aggression.
