Cyclone Arnab made landfall on India's southeastern coast, forcing nearly 100,000 people to leave their homes in two states, according to the South China Morning Post (SCMP), hitting Andhra Pradesh as a very severe cyclonic storm, with winds of 125–135 km/h and gusts of 150 km/h, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
