Hanwha Defense USA has secured a $269-million-dollar deal to construct a medium landing ship for the US Navy and Marine Corps at its Philly Shipyard, according to the Korea Herald.

It is the Hanwha Group's first order to build a new US Navy vessel since it acquired Philly Shipyard in Pennsylvania in 2024.
