The European Union (EU) is discussing strengthening its own capabilities and reducing dependence on the US after the Starlink slowdown in Ukraine, a topic at the Oct. 15–16 summit, according to the Russian agency TASS, citing sources — and according to those sources, cited by Bloomberg via TASS, such changes would take years and the realistic way out would be to strengthen Europe's role within structures such as the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO).
