Iran’s foreign ministry announced on Sunday that it had designated the UK’s Royal Navy and Royal Air Force as “terrorist organizations”, according to the Hindustan Times, which cited Iran International.

The ministry also classified MI6, Britain’s foreign intelligence service, as a “hostile group”. The statement characterized the move as a reciprocal step to Washington’s designation of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) as a terrorist organization.
