The United Nations (UN) Commission of Inquiry found that Israeli authorities and forces continue to commit genocidal acts in Gaza even after the ceasefire agreement, with the intent to destroy the Palestinian people, in whole or in part, according to the commission's report.
The commission pointed to at least 196 Palestinians killed by Israeli fire since the ceasefire was signed in October 2025, and to Israeli control over Gaza going from 53% to at least 60%, according to the Associated Press (AP). The same commission accuses Israeli soldiers and prison guards of war crimes and crimes against humanity in the West Bank, including extermination, torture, rape and other forms of sexual violence, according to AP.
