Benjamin Netanyahu’s bloc lost its parliamentary majority, The Hindu reported, and results released early Friday showed 53 seats for his bloc, 48 for the main opposition bloc and 19 for Arab-led parties in Tuesday’s election, a historic showing, according to the Associated Press (AP), in a text republished by the Daily Democrat.

In his first public comment on the result, on Friday, Netanyahu posted on X that it is forbidden to form a coalition with Arab parties.
