US President Donald Trump defended his decision to waive some sanctions on Russia and once again accused Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky of not wanting to end the war, according to France 24.

The outlet reported that Trump has also temporarily waived sanctions on Russian diesel, allowing large quantities to flow into global markets to try lowering fuel prices ahead of US elections early next month. TASS, citing Trump, said Zelensky does not want to end the conflict with Russia and probably never did.
