Vulnerabilities found in the PHP programming language, which is mainly designed for servers, led Japan’s Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare to temporarily suspend a website for its information disclosure system as a precaution, according to Kyodo News.

The site lists contact information and service details of long-term care providers nationwide. The government-affiliated Innovation Platform Agency said patches would be released by the developer later Wednesday. According to a European research organization, PHP is used by 69.3 percent of websites worldwide whose server-side programming language is known.
