Hundreds of thousands of protesters, most of them young, returned to the streets across France on Saturday in a third consecutive weekend of demonstrations over living costs and education, according to the Associated Press (AP).

France’s government estimated 320,000 protesters nationwide on Saturday, fewer than in previous protests, and about 70,000 police and gendarmes were deployed, with Paris marches rerouted to the edge of the capital.
