Three ballistic missiles with cluster warheads were fired at Kyiv on the night of October 21-22, and one of them struck the historic centre of the capital, according to Ukrainska Pravda.
One of the missiles struck Pechersk, the area between the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra and the Holy Presentation Monastery, and damaged monastery buildings, residential buildings, shops, cafés and other civilian infrastructure. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky also said Russia had kept targeting the country’s energy infrastructure, with more than 170 strikes on critical facilities since October 11, according to Reuters, in a text republished by the Jerusalem Post.
