Democratic lawmakers in the US pressed Trump to recognize the result of Brazil’s election and criticized his remarks about the vote, in a statement from the Congressional Progressive Caucus (CPC) signed by Greg Casar, Ilhan Omar and Jesús García, according to G1.

“The partnership between Trump and Bolsonaro to contest the election result must end immediately,” the text says, demanding that the US join the rest of the world in recognizing the result.
