Mohsen Rezaei, secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council (SNSC), suggested the country could withdraw from the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT) should military hostilities against the Islamic Republic resume, according to Sputnik.

Rezaei said Iran’s priority in the nuclear field is to discuss its rights rather than accept restrictions, and that it remains unclear whether the country would remain a party to the treaty should a war break out in the future.
