An Israeli military order issued on October 28 placed 26,500 m² of land in the villages of Deir Nizam, Umm Safa and Atara under military control, for “military purposes,” according to the Palestinian Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission.

The land is designated for a route called the Ateret–Neve Tzuf emergency axis, intended to connect illegal Israeli settlement sites in the area, and the order will remain in effect until the end of 2028. The commission said 5,891 m², or around 22.3 percent of the seized area, are classified by Israeli authorities as “state land,” while another 20,582 m² fall outside that classification.
